Pre-conference devotional February 26-March 2

“Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;   his name is the Lord; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.”  Psalm 68:4-5.

His Word:

“The language of this section is in the form of a hymnic summons to praise the name of Yahweh who as the great Rider of the Clouds is the father of the fatherless and deliverer of the homeless and the prisoners.”[1] The Psalmist is talking about our people and he tells us to praise God (Yahweh), praise Him. We can know, be assured, that He is with us everyday as we serve those in need of what we do and in need of Him. Worship our God.

Let Us Pray:

Let’s pray for the worship team that God has prepared their hearts to lead our conference to praise Him who is worthy. Let us pray that as we gather to worship, the Holy Spirit has prepared our hearts with a hunger to worship Him. Ask the Father for His Holy Spirit to fall upon us together and individually as we praise Him and that a work of God breaks out among us. Thank God that He is the defender of the defenseless and realize that we may be in that category. Yes, worship our God.
